I was sidetracked temporarily by the beautiful Church of Saint Augustine and Saint John the Baptist. I was lucky that a lot of the interesting sights in Dublin seem to be within walking distance of each other. Although the places are very near each other some places would require walking up or down small hills. Fortunately, I have my map with me that I was able more efficiently navigate the city. It would seem that I would be visiting a lot of churches here in Dublin much like how there are a lot of churches in Manila in the Philippines. For a city this small, it does seem to have a lot of churches. These churches here mainly fall into two denominations – Catholics and the Protestants.
The next church I intended to visit was a surprise as well. When I went up the hill going to the Church of Saint Augustine and Saint John the Baptist, I came across this fenced garden with what seems to be a cemetery. There was an old looking church tower but there didn’t seem to a name there, when I walked over nearer the church, still outside the fence, I found out that it was a Church of Ireland church. There didn’t seem to a way in this old looking church so I just took photos from the outside and moved on. However, it seems that I was mistaken, there was another building on the other side which was attached to the old church.
