Glenevin Falls was just as it was advertised. The falls wasn’t anything fantastic, but it was still a nice visit and considering that it is in Inishowen, it might be a worthwhile side trip. Now the days were getting shorter and it was getting dark. We started to head back but we noticed that there were some places in Inishowen which we were along our way home. There is this place called Fort Dunree, it sounds historical but since it was already on the way home, we though that we should try to drop by as well. Through the magic of satellite navigation, we were able to make our way to this rather remote place.
By the time we got there, the skies were very dark as it was really about to rain. Raindrops were already starting to fall by the time we stepped out of the car. The rain and the cold made us run back to the car as there wasn’t a shelter nearby. It was quite frustrating since this type of thing seems to happen to us very often here in Ireland. The weather is really very fickle, but most of the time it is cold and wet. I hope we would be lucky enough to get a break in the weather since we were already there.
