Harvey’s Point is yet another higher end hotel which is sitting on the shores of the beautiful Lough Eske which is in County Donegal. This area seems to be famous for its beauty and it is not surprising that some hotels have set up shop here. This place seems to be quite popular with people from Northern Ireland as they could easily drive here and experience some of the beauty of the area. Harvey’s Point seems to cater to a lot of these clients as the car park was full of visitors from Northern Ireland. It is best to be spending a few days here to absorb the atmosphere. I would love to try to stay here but I don’t think I have the finances to do so.
Fortunately, we were able to go around the grounds of the hotel to find out how good it is. In terms of location, it certainly has a good location right beside the water. Visitors can easily access the lake through various places in the hotel. For poor visitors like us, we can only go to the lake and take photos. For the ones who have a little more, you can try their famous buffet. I probably would have been willing to splurge for something like that but it might be little too much trouble to drive all the way here just to have lunch, which is why I think it is best to be staying here over a few days. I think it would be worth it.
