It was a bit strange for us to be entering the forest just when we were done with our exploration of Ards Forest Park. We were heading away from the rugged coastline of the Ards Forest Park. Our trail was already turning in the general direction of the car park where we came from. There were naturally a lot of all trees here. I’m not an expert on trees so I can’t really tell which is which. However, I do know, that at the time our visit, most of the trees still haven’t changed color, which was a disappointment for us. We were hoping to photograph nice autumn scenes at Ards Forest Park, but it seems that we were still early for this.
The path was still well worn as this was one of the major trails within the park. It seems to go around in loop which was perfect since we were already headed back out of the park. It feels different from the other forests which I have been to since they were all tropical forests. The air in the forest here wasn’t as stifling as the tropical ones. For one thing, the weather here is much cooler. I think the fact that it is beside the sea is also another thing. It was quite pleasant to walk here although the coast is much more interesting in my opinion.
