I was very pleased with the weather when we were at Ards Forest Park. It sunny and there were few clouds. This made for blue skies in Donegal, where it doesn’t have too many of them. I never thought I would manage to photograph a beach scene in Ireland of all places. I guess I was too used to living in the tropics to think that colder countries would have them too. The sand area which I call the beach it quite broad, probably because the place is that flat that once the tide comes in, it just floods the entire place. I am not sure when the tide would come that day but it was very low and it exposed most of the sand.
One can actually walk all the way across the channel since the water was so low. However, one would have to consider the consequences of doing so. If you cross the channel on foot and turn back only to realize that the tide had come in and your way back is cut off. There are probably ways to get back from the other side, it is probably a long walk to get back here. I think it would best to keep that in mind when visiting this area. I didn’t try wading in the water either, I think it would have been quite cold for me. I was already feeling cold, I didn’t want to make it worse.
