We had an enjoyable time at Melmore Head and I gained a whole new appreciation of these kinds of places. While they may look similar, there will always be small things and features which would make each place unique and memorable. We head back down the hill and back to the car park where we have to start our journey home. It will be a two hour ride back to Letterkenny, fortunately, I do not need to drive. Although the country of Ireland is quite well connected, it is not as easy to get around the country as I hoped. By the time we got back to town it was almost dinner time. Rather than having to scrounge up something to cook, we decided to just eat outside.
Somehow we always end up eating a this restaurant called Kelly’s. It is a small restaurant at a petrol station. Part of their promotions are their steaks which go on sale on Saturdays. Well it wasn’t Saturday, so we had to order other stuff. I ordered chicken which some kind of sauce with pepper. It turned out to be just black pepper chicken. They also serve chicken curry, the Indian variation, it also came with some naan, but I don’t think it was as nice as the ones I had elsewhere. One thing I didn’t like about Kelly’s Restaurant was that their service was extremely slow. I don’t know if this was already pointed out to them but it takes forever for anyone to notice you. It is like they have blinders on. When you try to call the attention of staff, they just walk right past. It is possible that they really are just too busy, but isn’t this part of the job? The food wasn’t terrible but I probably won’t come here just to grab a bite as the service needs a lot of improvement. I guess I can say that service is okay, if you manage to get it.
