Well, we finally arrived at our destination after a two hour drive up the north of Donegal county. It is not really surprising to see these kind of scenery anymore since I have been to a few of these places already, and they are always spectacular. I guess you can have too much of a good thing. As I already figured out from the name of the place, Melmore Head is another beautiful seascape place here in county Donegal. Melmore Head seems to be quite a well known place. Although there weren’t really any holiday homes here unlike the ones we saw in Dunfanaghy when we visited Horn Head, there were a lot of mobile homes parked here.
The large number of mobile homes parked here probably attests to the beautiful landscape that is present here. I guess a lot of people still try to get away from it all and just come to what I could consider the middle of nowhere to holiday. I guess that is the point of trying to get away from it all. Anyway, we had to walk past the Melmore Family Caravan Park to get to the main path heading towards the water. There is a small beach here and I guess it would have been nice to play in it if it weren’t so cold. I guess you just have to deal with whatever cards you were given. The path to the shore not paved but it was still a decent path compared to the others.
