I was in the midst of preparing for a huge change in my life when all of a sudden I was hit with news of another huge event in my life, the inevitable has happened and I can’t say I wasn’t expecting it. I needed to fly back to Manila to make arrangements. Needless to say, this period was particularly stressful not just for me, but most especially for my family. Unlike previous visits to Manila, I didn’t get to go out that much, as I was busy attending to matters, except for this one time. I managed to get out and meet up with a friend and have lunch, a good one at that. This was a long time favorite of mine and I has been years since I last ate here.
Racks has been around since I was still in university. As their name implies as well as their tagline, they are famous for ribs. True enough, their ribs are their best seller here. The meat here is falling off the bone goodness that I can’t really get enough of it. Of course, there is only so much meat you can take in one go, to better not to have too much. Their barbeque sauce is also quite well known as their extra spicy one is one for the books. It was incredibly spicy even for someone like me that has been used to eating spicy food. I have to take small dips in the extra spicy sauce to make sure I don’t overdo it. The meat is still just as good as it was back then, though understandably it is now around four times more expensive as I remember it, but that was a very long time ago. I’m glad to know that it is still around.
