I loved Snake Island. It is not very often that I get to visit such a place. Islands with beautiful beaches are very common in the Philippines but sandbars are not as common here. The first one I have seen is probably White Island in Camiguin, but I don’t think I can go there anytime soon. Anyway, Snake Island here in El Nido is certainly good enough for me, though probably not as isolated as Camiguin. The waters in this area were very clean and the sand was likewise very clean. Which is surprising if you consider how sandbar are formed.
At this point in my trip, it was already high noon and it was very hot. I wished I brought a hat with me. There was no shelter at Snake Island obviously and the most I could do was try to cool myself down by walking in the water. I think I need to hurry back to where our boat man is. There are trees there and it would be perfect for us to rest there. I don’t think it is healthy to be exposing myself like this.
