I enjoyed our visited to Entalula Island here in the Bacuit Archipelago. The sand here was powder fine and it wasn’t hot to the touch. Coral sand tends to be like that. We had some time before our outrigger boat sets sail once again. By this time there were a lot more boats parked here on the beach. This kind of ruins the scenery as you can see a lot of boats at one time. Perhaps it might be better if these tour groups do not visit the island all at the same time, maybe follow a different itinerary? Better yet, they need to build a small jetty for these outrigger canoes so they don’t have to drop anchor anywhere they wish.
I wanted to take photos of the other part of the island but our boatman/guide told us not to venture in that area. He told us that that beach was private. Private?? It seems it has been sold to some rich individual or company to be developed into a resort. It doesn’t seem to be much in the way or modern resorts there since I only noticed a few huts but may in due time there will be more of them here. I don’t know how much they can modernize here but it is sufficiently close enough to the mainland that they could theoretically pull a power line over to this island. I don’t really like the idea of it being sold to private entities, they even forbid non-customers to walk to the beach there. Is this some sort of pattern that is emerging here in the Bacuit Archipelago here in El Nido?
