Our tour of parts of the Bacuit Archipelago here in El Nido will bring us to several beautiful islands, which somehow El Nido has no shortage of. A lot of these islands lie close to the Palawan mainland however we need to take an outrigger canoe to get there in a rather roundabout way. In fact, this would be faster than going by land from El Nido town and crossing the mountain to get to the other side. The water on the other side of the island was surprisingly placid. I was thinking that it is because the waters here are surrounded by a lot of islands that the water can become that still. Either way, it doesn’t really become very rough here until there is a typhoon passing by which is very, very rare.
Our first stop in our tour will be Entalula island. I remember seeing a photo of this island and I was entranced by its beauty. I really wanted to come here to see for myself but my original tour did not include Entalula Island. Now, here I am on a different tour which thankfully included Entalula Island, hopefully this island is worth the wait. It looks like our companions were just as excited as well. They were a senior couple who were on vacation from Cavite. They were very friendly and were raring to go. As the island drew nearer and nearer, so does my excitement grow stronger.
