I wasn’t exactly satisfied with our sunset shooting on the other side of El Nido town. The path to that spot was unlit and parts of it were outright dangerous. I didn’t have a torchlight with me unlike my friend but I do have my phone with me. It provided enough light to help me navigate the path back to town. Thank God for technology. Once we reached town we found out that there was a power failure. This isn’t really very uncommon as electrical power here in El Nido is still spotty. In fact, there isn’t any power supplied in the day time, it only comes back in the evening. I guess, this is one of the reasons why the pace of development here in Palawan is so slow.
My friend decided to bring me to one of his favorite places, it was a burger place. I guess I had enough of grilled Filipino food that having a burger is a welcome change. This restaurant seem to be quite well set up as it looks like beer house with all the little lights flashing. It seems this side of town has electricity. I ordered my burger here and didn’t really think it was that special, I guess it was because it was different. We wanted to have some beer but they didn’t have any cold beer. This was because of the recent power failure so I can’t really blame them. There were a few foreigners in the restaurant as well and it seems that they are enjoying themselves.
