It was a hot and steamy afternoon here at the Bulalacao Falls. We were in the middle of the jungle and the humidity here is very stifling. I was looking at the pool here at the Bulalacao Falls with envy as I contemplated on jumping into the pool. I wasn’t really planning on swimming here at the falls so I didn’t bring any swimwear. I was actually content to take photos of the falls that not being able to swim here wasn’t really a concern for me. I wasn’t expecting a very tall waterfall but this one was pretty okay. At least this one qualifies as a waterfall. I have seen smaller ones and they were really quite pitiful.
After a quick swim by my friend at the Bulalacao Falls, we started heading back into the jungle trail back to civilization. It is really not easy to try to find your way here. I normally don’t like hiring guides but I would have to agree that in this case, you really need one. I can guess that people might try to just follow the stream to wherever it leads to. I suppose it leads back to the lowlands but I wasn’t really sure. I was thinking of the two foreigners who supposedly came right before us and yet did not avail of the services of the guide. If I were to go on my own, it would make sense to follow the water, if you find it, ultimately it will lead to the falls.
