After about thirty minutes of walking through a confusing trail, we finally arrived at the Bulalacao Falls. I guess it was already a sign when we ran into this small stream en route to the falls. Bulalacao Falls was as slightly taller than I expected it to be. I was warned not to get my hopes up since Bulalacao Falls is really small. At least it wasn’t as tiny as I imagined it to be. The torrent of water coming town the mountain empties itself into a pool at the foot of the waterfalls.
I was told that this is where our guide gets their water and to prove it, he goes to the pool and starts drinking from it. He invited me to join him but I wasn’t ready to risk ingesting some bacteria where I could fall ill from. I did mention that the water of Bulalacao Falls comes from the mountain and I can see there is still a ways up the falls and I can’t see it from the foot. There is another trail which is longer and it leads to the source of the waterfalls, I guess this is the more impressive part which is why we came here. My friend ever the adventurous type scrambled up the waterfalls like a cat. While I was slowly pulling myself up the rocks to get to the next level. This is not easy when I have a heavy camera slung on my neck. Then again, I can’t imagine how my friend managed to do this with a tripod on hand!
