When I first visited El Nido a few years back, I only knew of the main town of El Nido, and I didn’t really venture much beyond the beach area. Yes. I was staying at a resort back when it was still cheap, so I had no idea how the town was other anything was beyond the beach. I didn’t know that there were other places here in El Nido municipality that are for tourists. I just found out about the village of Corong-corong which is also a tiny beach front town. It was quite a nice change from El Nido Town. El Nido has a lot of bars and restaurants but it is no Boracay, far from it. While Corong-corong seems to be more for resorts and just kicking back.
The beach area of El Nido town wasn’t that special and it really doesn’t seem to feature much on visitors itineraries. You can see that not a lot of people go swimming here. In Corong-corong, the beach here is slightly wider but there seem to be a lot more people taking advantage of it. There were a lot of foreigners soaking in the afternoon sun. I think I already had more than my fair share of sun today. At least now the sun isn’t hot anymore. The island of the Bacuit Archipelago serve as a brilliant backdrop to the beautiful scenery here. I hope to be able to capture some of this beauty as we make our way to our sunset spot.
