I was astounded at the raw beauty of Nacpan Beach and how isolated it was. If you were looking for off the beaten path place, this place is it. Amid my amazement at how incredibly beautiful this place was, I only noticed that it was also an incredibly hot day. It was noon time and the sun was high in the sky without any cloud in sight. I think this was going to be another one of those days where I would get sunburn, yet again, as if I never learned my lesson. There were the requisite coconut trees as any tropical paradise should but they weren’t dense enough to provide decent cover from the noon day sun. The lack of resorts here also doesn’t help a bit.
We decided to walk to the other side of the beach to see what we can see here. It seems to be a very long walk as the beach here is a kilometer or two long. With the heat from the afternoon sun bearing down on us, it is really starting to get unpleasant here. I was looking at the crystal clear waters of the beach here and was thinking how nice it would be just soak in the water. But that would not be very good for the skin either as there was totally no shade there. We were walking along a fenced area in Nacpan and our driver was telling me how all of the beach front properties here though undeveloped, were already sold, no doubt as an investment in the future of Nacpan as an alternative to El Nido. Perhaps when electricity finally arrives in this area and they start to realize returns from here. If I had the money I would also want to buy property here but it seems I had no money and I was too slow as well.
