Queue for the Internal Bus at the Stone Forest 石林
I had a decent night’s sleep at Kunming Cloudland International Youth Hostel. Actually when I got back to the hostel, the power was still out. It seems it is quite localized since the building opposite us has power. I hate it when that happens. Anyway, the power only came back an hour later and I couldn’t get any sleep because of the heat. There wasn’t much to do here since the power was out, I tried to sleep but only managed to when the power was back. Anyway, the next day was going to be a busy day.
Ticket Office of the Stone Forest 石林
I was going to what is probably Kunming’s most famous tourist attraction – the Stone forest. Actually the Stone Forest isn’t exactly in Kunming itself but it is around two hours away from the city. I needed to take a bus to the Kunming Eastern Bus Station and take another bus to Shilin town from there. There seemed to be buses leaving every hour so this should not be a problem. Do take note of the last bus departure as well to guarantee than you will have a ride home. I have seen numerous photos of the Stone Forest and I am excited to finally come here.
