Outside the Yuyuan Hotel 玉源客栈
As you can tell from my earlier post, I wasn’t exactly thrilled with my stay at the Four Seasons Youth Hostel here in Dali Ancient Town. Please note that this was not because of their fault. It just so happened I got an older room, the one with the old Chinese house feel. I was actually on the lookout for another hostel but I didn’t have the time to find it so I settled on the one I actually tried to book in. As it turns out, the hostel I was looking for was only a short distance away from where I was staying. I quickly checked out of the hostel and checked in to the Yuyuan Hotel 玉源客栈.
Inside the Yuyuan Hotel 玉源客栈
The hostel is located on the fringes of the town but it is also along one of the livelier parts of town. There was a running waterway here, it goes all the way down to the entertainment area below which I can explore later on. I was just glad that I managed to find this place. I didn’t have my own room either but then again, the dorm room was unoccupied, which is good. The dorm room didn’t have its own bathroom though but that wasn’t really a problem for me. As long as the outside bathroom was clean, I will be okay with it.
