I took my time to head back to the entrance gate of the Chongsheng Temple Park. It was way past six in the evening but there was no one to chase me out. It really is nice to have a very well known tourist attraction all to yourself. Sure, there were a handful of people still on the grounds but they were practically not there. Gone were the times where I had to wait until the crowds go away before I can take my photos. It is also nice that they don’t chase you away. I wished that I could stay longer since I do not know if the Three Pagodas were lit at night but if they close at six in the evening, there won’t be a chance to find out.
There were a few tricycle drivers outside the entrance gate and they were asking me if I wanted to go back to the ancient town. I knew where it was and I knew it wasn’t that far so I declined. The sun sets a bit later here in the western part of the country I believe at around eight in the evening, I guess that is the problem with a large country having only one time zone. I had some spicy chicken with erkuai for dinner. It was done in typicial Sichuan style which isn’t really very local but the styles seem to mix. What keeps it local is the fact that they used erkuai with the chicken.
