It had always been a dream of mine to come to visit the Chongsheng Temple and its famous Three Pagodas. Somehow the image of the Three Pagodas was burned into my mind that I never forgot about it. I finally managed to visit this place and the pagodas really do look like how they do in the pictures. Of course there are some really amazing photograph of this place as well but I do not have the luxury of time to stay here for long periods of time.
The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were indeed magnificent. This is even more so when you find out that they have survived numerous natural and man-made disasters, although the nearby Chongsheng Temple hasn’t had that kind of luck. The Three Pagodas have become the symbol of Dali though this hasn’t really made it very well known outside China. It is a pity though that you cannot climb it but they should at least lower the ticket prices for this place.
