I was relieved that I finally reached the end of the Chongsheng Temple park. I had to pass through several halls just to get to this point and it really seemed to be worth the trouble. As the name implies, the Lakeview Tower is basically a viewing deck for visitors. I am not sure if this was originally part of the park as the purpose of the tower seems to be purely for tourism. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower to admire the surrounding view.
As it turns out, this time seem to be a good time to be here. The setting sun illuminates the other side of the park particularly the Three Pagodas. Further on, the Erhai Lake is in full view as well as the mountains which surround it. I thought that the view would have been better if the tower had been a little higher but doing so might have required a taller tower, and it would have been an eyesore.
