I was delighted by the sight of the Three Pagodas here in Dali. I have seen photos of this and have always admired the beauty of these three pagodas but I never thought I would one day visit this place. However, I only have one hour to explore the Three Pagodas and the Chongsheng Temple behind the pagodas. I will have to do my best to complete this, hopefully they won’t have to chase me out when the gates close.
Just after entering the park, I was already greeted by the sight of the three pagodas looming every closer. There was a small pool of water in front the park very near the entrance and it makes for very nice reflection photos. One problem was at the afternoon sun was right behind the pagodas so it was tricky to get a proper shot here. The pond makes a great foreground for the photos of the three pagodas. They were just far enough to be captured in the photo. It was as if they built the pond specifically for this shot.
