It was quite fun to observe the Yangtze River at the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge. The wild river gets your adrenaline up while you observe from the platform in safety. Parts of the platform jut out from the mountainside so some parts are really directly above the river. In fact, you can view the Yangtze River as if it was rushing right at you. Scary but exciting. As a result of the constant splashing of water from the river I got quite wet. It didn’t help either that it was raining intermittently.
I would try to steal a few shots of the river every now and then but I didn’t want to get my camera wet. It was already quite damp from the rain. I don’t want any silt getting to the camera. The top part of the platform is the most turbulent portion and it gets slightly less turbulent as you walk downstream. The platform is wet as well but fortunately, it wasn’t slippery as it is made of wood, apart from the transparent area which seems to be made from glass.
