I had to wait out a heavy thunderstorm before I could leave Baisha. It hasn’t rained this bad since I got here and I guess I was lucky since it was really the rainy season when I visited. I wasn’t exactly very good for photos though since I love my skies blue. There were a few of us waiting opposite the Baisha Murals. Unfortunately for them, they would have to totally wait out the rain since they only came here by bicycle. Bus number 6 eventually passed by and I made a mad dash for the bus leaving the others behind. I tried to keep my spirits up despite the downpour and hoping that the rain would not follow me all the way to Lijiang Ancient Town.
Bus 6 brings me back to Lijiang Ancient Town and it is also a good thing. Outside the wall of the ancient city lies another one of Lijiang’s more popular sights. I got off where the bus picked me up earlier that afternoon and head left. There is a tall gate there, for Chinese readers, you would be able to tell what place this is – Black Dragon Pool. This is one of Yunnan’s most photographed sights, I hope I will be luckier here. I haven’t had blue skies here since I go here hopefully my luck would change.
