I woke up early the following day, as that would be the day I move on from Shangrila. I had a pleasant stay at the hostel and I wouldn’t mind staying here a bit longer if it weren’t for my schedule. Before checking out of the hostel, I headed out for a quick breakfast, I can’t remember how long the trip would take but I would be better if I don’t go on an empty stomach. Although there weren’t a lot of restaurants open for breakfast. There were only a few which did.
I found a small shop selling dumplings and suddenly felt the urge to have some. I ordered my xiao long bao, but it turned out to be the Hangzhou style, which didn’t come with much soup. The one I was looking for was the Shanghai style, something which might be a little difficult to find here. I remember why I didn’t like them that much, yes, they were authentic, but they were quite dry to be the xiao long bao I was looking for. I got some soya milk to help push it down.
