Songzanlin Temple seems to be a great place to be alone with your thoughts. This is not very common since there are people everywhere in China. However, this place seems to be quite out of the tourist trail that not a lot of people come here. It is possible that the difficulty to getting here may also be a cause for the lesser number of people here, but who am I to complain? I was trying to do a circumnavigation of the lake at Songzanlin Temple and at the same time trying to find a nice spot to take photos. I am certain that there is a place where I can get photos here. It was as if the temple is begging to be photographed from the lake.
The wooden walkway eventually brought me to the lake itself. It was good because people don’t need to get their feet wet when circumnavigating the lake. From here you can get excellent views of the temple with the lake as the foreground. I was lucky that the lake itself is calm so the reflections of the temple would be good enough. Unfortunately, there were a lot of plants jutting out from the water ruining the image. Anyway, the weather was good enough for me to get good reflections of the temple. I was very pleased with what I saw and just hung around to observe the temple.
