My airport shuttle brought me to a hotel which was supposedly nearby the Kunming Western Bus Station. My maps didn’t show where the bus station was exactly so I was essentially flying blind here. The hotel will also be the hotel where I will be getting my airport shuttle back to the airport so I need to remember this. I asked the staff where the western bus station was and they told me to take another bus to the station. It seems my information was not accurate. I needed to walk to the main road towards a major intersection where I could take my bus. Turn right at the main road and just walk until you hit a bridge. There was an underpass here where you can take a number of buses to anywhere in Kunming.
I asked around and they pointed me to one bus, which I can no longer remember, I had a quick look at the list of bus stops and it seems that they were correct. I don’t have to worry about getting off since it was a the end of the route. The bus station was in a developing area of town and we took longer than expected as the Kunming Metro was still under construction, hopefully it would be more convenient the next time I visit this place. I purchased my bus tickets to my destination and head out to main road for some food. Fortunately, there were a few restaurants there which seemed affordable I stayed there until my bus as almost leaving.
