It was one of those decisions which make you feel like why didn’t I do this much earlier? Out of the blue I made a monumental decision that would change my daily routine. I would have to say that I have been putting off the decision out of sheer laziness but it has finally come. For better or for worse. All of a sudden I have some time on my hands. I have around three weeks to myself before take the plunge. As a result of this, I didn’t really have concrete plans on what to do with this time. I have been wanting to visit a part of China that has intrigued me, so within two weeks I made plans to go there. Since it was quite hastily done, I didn’t get a chance to invite friends to come along. It was just as well since I don’t really mind if I travel alone. Company is surely appreciated though.
So I took my flight from Singapore’s Budget Terminal, in what would be my last flight out of the Budget Terminal as it was scheduled to be shutdown and converted into a new terminal. My flight took me to the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. This is not the first time I would end up in Guangzhou, but at least I won’t be dead tired by the time I get there. The previous time I had to go through Kuala Lumpur for that. I wasn’t really in the mood to do that so I went for the more convenient option. Since, the trip has hastily planned, I wasn’t able to get good prices for my plane tickets, most especially the internal ones. Oh well, it would be a while before I take a break again so I might as well make the most of this.
