Well, we finally got enough of the lighthouse so it was time to move on. I was delighted with the amount to fish that were present in coral reef at the lighthouse area. To think one need not venture too far from the resorts to be able to see such rich marine life. My co-passengers were likewise delighted with the fish and could not get enough of them. It took a while for everyone to get back on board our boat, but it seems that our boatman wasn’t really in such a hurry to get back. We were towards the end of the trip and there won’t be another trip for the boatman either, which is good since we don’t need to hurry back to our resort. Our last stop is a rather isolated beach at Perhentian Kecil – Romantik Beach.
Romantik Beach, yes, with a K, is a rather off the beaten track beach on Perhentian Kecil, which itself is already off the beaten track. True enough, there wasn’t anyone on the beach when we got there. I don’t know if the trips from other tour providers were all different but it seems our boatman chose the perfect time to come here, that is around four in the afternoon. The sky was still very clear and the seas were likewise enchanting. I haven’t swam for a long time before this trip and I am sure making up for lost time. This will be our final stop in our island hopping tour. Incidentally, this is the first beach we will be going to.
