I had a very good night’s sleep at the Senja Bay Resort, partly because I was so exhausted from the travelling and photo taking we did during the day. Although there was no airconditioning, it wasn’t hot at all. There wasn’t much we can do at the cottage though. As it turned out, internet was down for a few days now. Seems like the island’s cable broke down and it might take a while to get it fixed. I wasn’t really in a hurry to get in touch with the rest of the world, after all, wasn’t that the point of coming here? I spent some time catching up on my reading before falling asleep. The next day, we needed to wake up early to catch the sunrise. Coral Bay is where we stay at, and it was the place for the sunset as we found out. This means that the sunrise will have to be on the other side of the island, Long Beach.
Now, there is a path to get to the other side of the island and it should be very easy to find. The path is quite open but at points goes through the forest but it wasn’t really difficult to tackle, probably takes around fifteen minutes to get from one end to the other. Long Beach as the name implies has a long beach. Apparently, this is the rowdier side of Perhentian Kecil, the reason why we avoided staying here. Sunrise is the place to do here and it still hasn’t happened yet. The sky was already starting to get light but it would still be a few more minutes before the show starts. Time to get ready.
