After we were done with the disappointing sunset photoshoot, darkness came quickly. So did hunger. Fortunately, we were already at the beach area and there were at lot open air restaurant to choose from. Most of the eating places here were pretty simple ones. Majority of the stalls here server local fare, of course with the local specialty, seafood. It would be difficult to imagine a beach without a restaurant which has seafood. This is probably as fresh as it could get. And with the number of restaurants here, prices will be kept to reasonable levels. It was actually quite difficult to choose a place to eat here since all of them seem to serve all the same stuff.
We ended up choosing one of the shops which had a grill outside. The man was grilling seafood for the patrons and it became some sort of a performance since the fire seemed to be quite large. I naturally ordered some fish, I believe it was barracuda and it was okay. The fish seems to be too burnt for my tastes though, but I guess this is what you get when you go for grilled food. It was hard to appreciate the fish since I had to scrape off a lot of the burnt stuff to get to the meat. My friend’s fish was the same, though he seemed to have enjoyed it more than I did. The prices here are pretty reasonable, and considering that it is fresh seafood, by the beach, it was a great deal. Just don’t worry too much about carcinogens.
