Our bus was scheduled to arrive at ten in the morning. It seems that there are not a lot of trips to the destination were were going to. Not surprising since the major tourist attraction here would have to be Pulau Redang whose port was just at the other side of town. We were waiting for our bus at the terminal, which unfortunately, didn’t really have a comfortable waiting area, at least it was shaded. We kept asking drivers and bus conductors which was the bus we needed to take and they said not to worry, it will come “soon”.
“Soon” apparently meant a full hour later. The bus had a sign in front with Kuala Besut as its destination. The name of the company is SP Bumi, apparently the only company plying the rout to Kuala Besut. We already missed the very first trip since I hadn’t arrived yet, and we didn’t want to miss this one either. We quickly got seats on the bus even though it wasn’t leaving yet. I left my bag on the seat hopefully, no one would take interest in it, while we stare at the driver until he was ready to leave.
