It would be several months before I would be getting out of the country again. I tend to spend my leaves in large bunches. This means that I don’t get to go on leaves that much. I guess this is okay for me since I do have to take care of stuff at work every now and then, even on weekends. What would they do without me? Anyway, a friend of mine suddenly asked me if I would be willing to join him in Malaysia. I would be another one of those backpacking trips and frankly, I was itching to get out of the country. Work has been a huge headache for me the past few days and I really wanted to get away from it, at least for the weekend.
My friend will be flying in from Manila and going directly to Kuala Lumpur, I on the other hand will have to get a bus ticket straight to the destination as it would be much more convenient for me to do that. My destination will be to Kuala Terengganu. My usual Malaysia ticket buying place was the Golden Mile Building as it seems to offer tickets to practically anywhere in Malaysia. I decided against catching a ride in Johor Bahru as that would be too tiring. I’ll pay a little more for a little more convenience. Anyway, there seemed to be only one place offering a ride to Kuala Terengganu. I had to ask several shops and only Five Stars was offering tickets there. I was under the assumption that it didn’t really matter which company I patronized since I will be dumped in the same bus as the customers from other companies. As usual, waiting at the Golden Mile Building wasn’t exactly a pleasant affair. There were seats in the ticket agent but not really a real waiting area. I just hope my bus comes soon.
