The left the convention soon after and it was already time for lunch. Since this was Sentosa, I didn’t have hopes of finding an affordable place to have lunch. I recall that there was a small food center some time back, but I it is long gone. Am I doomed to have lunch at a fancy place here in Sentosa? Or should I just leave the island altogether? Sentosa has been groomed to a some sort of a rich man’s playground and the lack for dirt cheap places here shows. I don’t really go into fancy places unless I’m taking someone out or people drag me in, after all I can probably find a comparable place for less than half the price elsewhere.
So I ended up a shop near the large ship. It was a fish and chips stall and they had a meal for less than two digits. Yes, I’m that cheap. I wasn’t expecting much from this stall as there didn’t seem to too many people eating here either. I ordered the basic fish and chips meal and got a seat where I can watch the ship’s performance. As expected the fish wasn’t anything to write home about, you’d expect that a place with that kind of name would at least have good fish and chips. Probably the most interesting part was that they used these coaster shaped notifiers to tell you that your food is ready and that the fish came in these aluminum buckets. At least it is indoors.
