Amusing Street Lights at Qianmen Pedestrian Street 前门大街
I was thoroughly enjoying the wonderfully restored buildings at Qianmen Pedestrian Street in Beijing. The sun had already gone down and the lights were all lit up. The lights were all tastefully done and there were none of those multicolored stuff you unfortunately see in other places. What I like is that the lights weren’t overwhelmingly powerful and only cast a nice glow at the buildings and nothing else. All of this makes for a very pleasant walk along this street.
Beautiful Night Scene at Qianmen Pedestrian Street 前门大街
One of the things which I didn’t like about Wangfujing was the it tends to attract undesirable characters. I won’t be able to pinpoint exactly who these were but I guess judging from the way they eye people you get the feeling that there are up to something. Qianmen Pedestrian Street doesn’t have this kind of feeling for me, this made exploring the street even more enjoyable. Now, if only I can afford the stuff they sell here.
