Gate at the Yonghe Lama Temple 雍和宫
The night at the Beijing Lama Temple International Youth Hostel was uneventful. Much of the hostel remained the same and for some reason, I always get the same dorm room whenever I stay there. It does seem to be much brighter now though maybe they just repainted. The Beijing Lama Temple International Youth Hostel is a charming place to stay at, there is a famous restaurant row behind it which I will probably visit sometime. I will be spending a couple of days in Beijing and I will try to visit some places I haven’t been to here.

One thing which puzzled me was why Beijing Yonghe Lama Temple International Youth Hostel was named that. I realized that there was a place which I didn’t visit which was literally behind the hostel. The Yonghe Lama Temple was behind hostel and I have regularly passed by the Yonghe Temple subway station but not getting off the station. From the hostel, there it was just a block away to the temple. You know that you are near when you see the shops selling joss sticks.
