I didn’t have much time to explore Shanxi’s capital of Taiyuan as I needed to catch my train back to Beijing. The guide book said that the Taiyuan musuem was good but there wasn’t enough time to visit it. If I was not mistaken there was a bus from the Taiyuan Railway Station to the museum. Oh well, maybe next time I drop by this area. There were still a lot of interesting place further west of this place so I will definitely come back here. I walked back to the Taiyuan Railway Station which wasn’t really very far away. I took my time to walk back to the station.
Inside the Taiyuan Railway Station, it wasn’t really very crowded much to my surprise. The station itself wasn’t very big either considering that this was a provincial capitaly. Then I remembered that most large Chinese cities now have more than one train station. In the case of Taiyuan, it has two. I didn’t know this before and I was merely heading back to the place where they dropped me off at few days earlier. The train was on time as usual and this time I got off at Beijing Railway Station. I was already familiar with Beijing and I quickly head off to my hostel at Beijing Lama Temple International Youth Hostel.
