Yingze Park was one of your run of the mill Chinese park, but it is not in any way unpleasant. The shaded trails provided respite from the blazing sun enough for me to feel the cool autumn air. Yingze Park also has a lake, not a very big one though, named Yingze Lake 迎泽湖. There was a walkway around the lake for visitors to walk around it. I would say that it seems to be pleasant walk here. The lake also offers activities as well such as boating the zorbing for kids. At that time the boats didn’t seem to be operational probably because of the approaching winter, I though the weather was perfectly fine for that, well better safe than sorry.
There were also some surprising finds in the park. For one there was a place called Underwater World, this is basically something like an oceanarium though it is much smaller. I didn’t bother going in here as I have been to much better places than these. Amusingly there was an ice world, something like a ice park where you can experience snow. I don’t know who would want to come here for that. I think you just have to wait for winter then you can experience the real thing anyway. Still, there seem to be patrons, at least in the Underwater World.
