The trip from Shenyang to Beijing was uneventful as it should be. I found myself falling asleep several times in the trip. There train stopped by two stations before pulling up at Beijing Station. I have taken a train at Beijing station previously and I think I already know my way around the city. The city wasn’t as cold as Shenyang was. It was sunny though but still quite chilly. The Beijing station was again its usual crowded self. It was a challenge to get out of the train station since there were a lot of crowd control structures which force people to go one particular way get out of the building.
I quickly head to my hostel to drop off my stuff. I have been here previously and I was pleased with it when I stayed there. I will only be here for a night as I was supposed to meet up with the Canadian guy whom I met in Shanghai and Suzhou. I provided him with my email and my expected arrival in Beijing but when I checked my mail, he told me that his schedule was messed up and he had to go back home. I don’t really understand what happened but at least the had the decency to tell me. That night I went out to Ghost Street for some dinner. I had been a while since I last had some Chinese barbeque, so I head out to grab some.
