In one part of the Lotus Garden was a beautiful looking structure. It had the designs of what seems to be a miniature stadium or even an Islamic mosque. The structure was circular and its disintive roof blends beautifully with the shape of the building. It is the Ji’an Museum. Since Ji’an is home to the ruins of the Koguryo Kingdom, it is but natural that the museum hosts a lot of Korguyo artifacts. A lot of the artifacts which were excavated in recent years were moved to the museum where it would be properly stored and shown to the public.
Unfortunately for me, the museum seemed to be closed. The large doors of the museum were carved with figures but it was not open. That was quite unfortunate since I was quite curious to see what they have on exhibit. Without access to the museum, I couldn’t really do much but just take photos outside. The day was really quite dreary as it was threatening to rain. While there was still light outside. I continued on towards the Yalu River for more exploration.
