I have arrived at yet another Chinese provincial capital. I was more into natural scenery but I somehow ended up visiting cities instead. I guess it all started when I met my friend in Shanghai and I had to change my plans by accomodating that schedule. As we pulled over the Changchun Railway Station, I noticed that the station didn’t seem to be quite modern. In fact it looked quite run down and no different from the older train stations that I have been to. This was in sharp contrast with the modern high speed train that calls into the station every few hours.
The Changchun is something of a railway hub as it was made into such by the occupiers of the region during that time. Now, it is not only into train production but is now a major manufacturing center of automobiles. Changchun as a lot of recent history going for it, maybe it might be worth a look here. As I exited the railway station, I was greeted by a large rotunda. Much like the other railway stations, this is a major drop of point for transportation so I was hoping to get some transportation here to where I will be staying.
