I finally got tired of the Jile Temple, sure it was authentic and in use but I probably already had too much temple hopping an entire lifetime. The ferris wheel at the back provided me with a bit amusement. When I stepped out of the temple ground trying to figure out what my next move was, I was greeted by large open area in front of the temple exit. It was a nice area where people can walk around, almost like a small park. I was wandering around here when I noticed that there was another temple beside the Jile Temple.
The Puzhou Temple 普照寺 was built right next to the Jile Temple. It was strange to have built two Buddhist temples so close to each other. Unfortunately, I don’t have any information as to how this came about. What I noticed immediately, was that the Puzhao Temple was closed but somehow there was a large group of men huddled around the door. I didn’t bother to investiage what was so interesting in that huddle, maybe someone was just selling something, who knows. Either way, I didn’t get to visit the Puzhao Temple, I would have probably just breezed right through it just so I can say that I have been there.
