We just about had it with the Siberian Tigers all just lazing about in the reserve. It is pretty uniteresting there as there isn’t much to do there. There were a few shelters which the tigers can use for themselves, but typically, some of them just claim it for their own use. The tigers are quite territorial and you can see it. Even if it appears that they are close together they usually give each other a wide berth. Our bus soon came to a stop and we were asked to get off the bus. Is it time for us to get fed to the tigers?
Well, it wasn’t to be. The tour around the park consists of a bus tour ala African safari and a walking tour. This one will go through the reserve but this time it will be on foot. There were long walkways which crisscross the park which gives visitors a better angle to see the tigers. The parts of the walkway are elevated so you can see the tigers and yet they can still go where they need to go. This of course is a well protected path, even a determined visitor will not be able to go to the place where the tigers are. However, there are still part of the walkway which certain stuff can go out… more in the next post.
