Frankly, I was quite disappointed with the Siberian Tiger Park in Haerbin thus far. The tigers weren’t as many as I thought they would be and even if we saw them, they were always on the wrong side of the bus. The tigers weren’t that active at all, I wasn’t expecting them to be balancing on balls or jumping through flaming hoops, but there were just lying there. Then again, there wasn’t much to do here in the reserve. There was a lot of space, tigers need that, which explains where they didn’t look like they were a lot. The few times that I saw tigers close to each other was because they were family.
That was until we parked ride beside a pack of tigers. They didn’t seem to mind us though since there just continued lying around and waiting for something to happen. Apparently, we were not that that something to happen. Still it was amazing to see such a number of tigers in one go. The Siberian Tigers were huge and majestic but a lazy bunch of creatures. The tigers didn’t approach us either. I was hoping someone in the bus would have a large slab of meat to feed the tigers, though I don’t know how safe that would be.
