I decided that today would be a day of Church hopping. I have been to numerous temples in China that just going to one makes me feel bored. Haerbin is unique in China that there is more visible Western religion impact in the city. The place I visited happens to have three churches all of them almost right next to each other. One would think that this place was probably important even back then for them to build several churches all bunched together.
The first one I visited was a small but quiant little church. It is the Haerbin Nangang Christian Church 哈尔滨南岗基督教会. It is was small traditional looking church. It somehow looks out of place here this busy street of Da Zhi Street in Haerbin. It looks more at home in a European or Russian countryside. Actually it is a Protestant Church. This building was built in 1916 when there was large foreign community living in Haerbin at that time.
