After a mildly satisfying dinner, I head back outside the delightful pedestrian street that is Zhongyang Street. I was actually debating with myself whether I should head back out so soon since it was quite cold outside. Remember that my cold weather clothes weren’t really suited for this latitude. Thankfully enough it was still only close to ten degrees Celsius, any lower and I would be in trouble. I guess the cold is also a good way to burn more calories, I think.
Anyway, just stepping outside to view the light show along Zhongyang Street was already worth it. There were a lot of people, but somehow this seems to be a more pleasant crowd. There were also several Causcasians there though I didn’t get to figure out where they come from. From what I heard due to the proximity of Haerbin, and Heilongjiang province for that matter, to Russia, any Caucasians they see here are automatically considered Russian. I would not be surprised if that were true most of the time.
