With the delicious Hangzhou style dinner done, though it did leave a bad taste in my mouth because of the “misunderstanding” about my order. I was happy to walk away my dinner. It was not very late yet but it was already dark here in Hangzhou. At night there is a show at the lake named Impression West Lake. This reminded me of a similar show at Yangshuo which I didn’t attend either. It is a cultural show which a lot of Chinese, particularly the old ones are quite fond of. I’m not really interesting these kinds of things as I more into the scenery.
Hangzhou’s Old Street bursts to life with all the stores all lit up. It really makes for a good shopping street, which reminds me that I needed to shop for some goodies to bring back for my officemates. Hangzhou has a few well known snacks and I bought a few boxes of them. However, the box was quite deceiving. It has a little window which shows the content of the box. It turned out that the box only had whatever was in that window. My officemates where laughing on how I was tricked into buying that, yes, you’re welcome too.
