It was surprising to know that Zhou Zhuang had a lot of buildings hundreds of years old. The Quanfu Temple 全福寺 complex is one of the more well known ones in the village. The temple is laid out not unlike a palace. It had a large moat which separates that temple from the rest of the area. A bridge was built to cross it, naturally. The temple is a magnificent two storey tower with typical Ming and Qing style architecture. As usual there is a incense burning area that believers use to say their prayers.
It was quite amusing and impressive how the temple was built at all since there was so much water all around. Much of the temple area has been modernized and refined to ensure the safety of the inevitable tour groups who will drop by. The moat itself has a lot of carp and these voracious animals would follow any human that happens to stand near the shore.
