It is truly a remarkable feeling to be walking along one of the most recognizable places in China. The Bund is a fusion of the old and the new with a promenade separating the two. The promenade was built obviously for people to walk on and to appreciate the wonder that is Shanghai. It was still afternoon when I was there but the sky wasn’t particularly good. The mist was quite thick that it was difficult to see across the river. The wind from the river was making thing particularly cold too.
There were a lot of people at the promenade but it didn’t feel crowded at all. Probably because it was quite wide. There were numerous photographers for hire strutting their wares, but who needs those. Anyway, it wasn’t a good time to be taking photos here because of the weather. The sun is barely penetrating through the clouds making contrast terrible. I still have a few days here in Shanghai, hopefully things will improve.
