I didn’t pay for the visit to Xidi as I told our tour leader that I had been here and got a discount for that. I did however pay for the lunch we just had so I was led inside the ancient town for lunch then sent back outside to wait for them to come back. It would be a while before they would come back, I figured it would be around 2 hours more. I tried going back to the bus so I could sleep but the bus driver was wasn’t there.
I might as well make the most of the situation. There were a few small roads from the car park which lead to the area surrounding Xidi. The road here was strangely familiar, as if I had been here previously. Maybe it was just because it looks much like Hongcun. I tried walking along the road behind the ancient town which leads to who knows where.
